Job Description:
Building Automation Systems Sales Engineer focusing on developing new HVAC DDC controls/Building Automation System business as well as maintaining existing customers in commercial and government construction markets.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Review contract drawings and specifications to generate costs during the bid process
Track subcontractor bids, project bid dates, and communicate with customers.
Attend job walks and interact with general contractors.
Prepare complete estimates and proposals for projects of all sizes ($10k - $1M+).
Ensures a smooth transition from sales to operations on contracted work.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience reading and understanding control, mechanical and electrical drawings.
BS/BA in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least 3 years experience in DDC controls, either as a project engineer, technician, installer, or similar.
Experience selling HVAC/MEP/DDC controls and systems
Solid understanding of mechanical and control systems
Experience with and thorough understanding of BACnet/Modbus/Lon
Ability to work independently as well as part of a project team.
Ability to work on strict deadlines without supervision.
Excellent communications skills
Compensation structure is base salary + commission.
