Fowler Athletics Central Plant
General Scope
The scope of the San Diego State Fowler Athletic Plant Project included a full retrofit control system for 2 chillers with a total capacity of 1200 tons, 3 cooling towers and 4 pumps as part of a primary-secondary loop flow system. This plant is tied to into the existing campus chilled water loop and was integrated into the other plant control systems in order for them all to operate in conjunction.
OUR SCOPE
Our team provided a full control system replacement of this plant and incorporated an advanced sequence of operations to allow a variety of different operation modes. Each mode is determined by varying conditions of the SDSU Main and EBA plants, leading to smooth transitions and effective control of the campus chilled water pressure, temperature and other variables. This plant was also equipped with standalone capability if one or both of the other plants are down for maintenance
